My recent stay at the Radisson Blu Bristol was nothing short of appalling. Upon arrival, the front desk couldn’t locate my booking for a full 20 minutes, despite me providing a confirmation. I left my details and luggage, and returned hours later, only to find they still hadn’t resolved the issue. After showing my live booking on the app, it was revealed that someone on their end had canceled it. The lack of urgency and blank stares from the staff were staggering.
I had to remind them that I had traveled by train and already paid, making it clear that their mistake did not justify leaving me without a room. After further delay, they admitted they would have to call the booking site, leaving me to wait even longer while they sorted their own mistake. I insisted on placing my luggage in the room in the meantime, which they reluctantly allowed.
When I finally entered the room, it was shockingly dilapidated. Scratches marred the countertops, walls had stains and wet streaks, and the carpet was worn. Later that evening, after a long day in Bristol, I attempted to shower, only to find there was no hot water. I was forced to dry off, redress, and call reception at 10 p.m. to be moved.
The bed was unacceptable for a hotel of this supposed caliber: two single beds pushed together with a harsh ridge that made sleeping impossible. For £15 per person, I paid £30 for breakfast, which was frankly disgraceful. The sausages were of poor quality, beans were not even branded, and the only egg option was scrambled—no fried or poached. The fruit appeared old and dry, the selection was minimal, and the entire offering was far below the standard expected.
This hotel’s reputation seems more like a claim than reality. Recent reviews mirror my experience, suggesting the hotel relies on past reputation and possibly falsified reviews. I have stayed in a suite before, which was luxurious but not worth 訂房網站le the price. Even then, it wasn’t perfect, but this time was unforgivable. I would never stay here again unless there were drastic changes. I’d much rather save £100 and stay at a Premier Inn or Travelodge, or opt for the Marriott nearby, which delivers far better for the same price. I would strongly urge anyone considering this hotel to avoid it until serious improvements are made. I would expect a full refund for such an appalling experience, but I doubt that will be forthcoming
Overall a good sized room. Howerver the aircon was not adequate to cool the room and felt a little too warm for the hot summer's day. However the beds were comfy and the room overall well styled.
The bathroom was very spacious with fantastic lighting!
Other than the unattractive view out the window and the aircon, I would highly recomend!
Location is good. The place has lighting which makes it feel like it is an old run down hotel. Service was okay. I asked for ice and was told to go to ground floor. Don’t expect this from Radisson hotel chain. Carpets feel old. Lighting needs a bit of work to make it modern.

The worst hotel I have ever stayed! An empty plastic bottle was on the table which was supposed left by the last guest. There’s still evidence of someone else lying on the pillow. Apparently, no one has cleaned this room since the last guest left.
